The National Automobile Dealers Association unveiled a new logo Monday as part of a major corporate rebranding initiative to "re-center" the organization around its core mission of representing the nation's 16,500 franchised new-car dealers.
The "refreshed" logo was designed "to both deliver a modern look and serve as the anchor for a cohesive aesthetic across all of NADA's communications platform," the association said in a statement. NADA also designed its sub-brand logos—including NADA Academy, NADA Exposition and Expo, and NADA Retirement Program—to align with the new logo.
NADA President Peter Welch said creating a single, strong brand that is easily recognizable is vital to becoming an influential advocacy organization.
"A strong and recognizable brand is critical to the individual success of each of our dealer members, just as it is critical to the success of the manufacturers of the vehicles our dealers sell and service," Welch said. "It's no different here at NADA."
In addition, NADA announced it was renaming its political action committee from the Dealers Election Action Committee to NADA PAC.
The new logo can be viewed on the association's website: www.nada.org
